27th July 2024 As parents, hearing the doctor's prognosis and realizing that your child is on the spectrum can be quite challenging. If I have to share just one comforting thought that has helped our family to keep focused on the future, it is that you are not alone. Millions of families around the world support loved ones with autism every single day and you will too. As a Mother who has experienced this personally, I know that hearing this news for the first time can make you feel a whole lot of emotions and it's only natural to feel that sense of caution and perhaps even worry about the road ahead. At a time when you're asking yourself a million questions about the past, present and future, it's important to take a moment. Break it down starting by being kind to yourself and focusing on how to cope with this news that has just changed lives.
